Immigration: Further leave to remain

We were instructed by our Client to act in his Judicial Review claim against the refusal of application for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) in the UK. We filed our reconsideration request to the Home Office, however, it was rejected. We further filed fresh application on behalf of our Client for further leave to remain. This case had complex issues as the Client had lived the majority of his life in the UK and made previous applications for leave to remain. Our client had resided in the UK for over 42 years and had been receiving public benefits for a number of years.

Earlier in this matter, the Home Office refused our Client leave to remain as he previously applied based on long residency in the UK under the Immigration Rules. However, after representations were made to the Home Office, a new decision was made that our Client would fall under a limited leave to remain. Further, our Client was granted a period of 30 months based on private life in the UK and exceptional circumstances. Our Client is now happily living in the UK.
